a new year, a new volume of these online notes...i am writing just recently come from travelling to southern florida to see Phish play New Year's Eve 1999 weekend at the Big Cypress Seminole Indian Reservation...nearly 100,000 people, very positive and peaceful, and fun!!! Phish is one of the elite rock bands in the world today...go buy some of their music today! look for them next summer when they come to your area!
anyway, i've also finished my master's degree in writing and publishing at emerson college...my final project there was a master's thesis called 'secret joy amongst these times: the history of scriptor press, 1995-1999'...at some point i may upload its text to this site...
i'm working at harvard business school publishing in watertown, mass...doing 'quality control'...boring but $$$ and better things to come soon...
this site needs so much work...begin today...continue soon...more peace and love and art in 2000!!!

well, i'm so tired i can't type anymore...it's good to have added some more to site tho...good night! :)

well, it's the beginning of the second quarter in super bowl xxxiv...st. louis rams leading tennessee titans 3-0 with 14:58 to go...not very interesting game so far...at least it's not a blowout...
anyway, computer probs today but i did add DanceSafe and High Times to psychedelic page...there's so much more that can be done with this site...i think it over and over...patience, patience, i guess...
scriptor press news otherwise: yesterday i DJ'd the first anniversary show of 'the within's within: scenes from the psychedelic revolution' on radio free cambridge 106.1 fm...work on the first book by joe ciccone is proceeding slowing with feb 2000 publication date goal...next issue of cenacle, #39-40, winter 2000, is being assembled as well...will contain in its entirety my poetic sequence 'two vessels (to samantha)' and is due out end of march 2000...my work at harvard business school publishing continues, tho i am looking toward its termination and moving onto something better...a bit at a time on all of these things...that's all for now...more soon :)

today added another link to the psychedelics page...the vaults of erowid...very cool site...it's satisfying to accumulate good links yet i want to add more actual content too...i guess it's a matter of time...and keeping at this site on a regular basis is most important of all...
i almost quit this job last week but somehow didn't...a good thing, i think...the $$$ is good and no worrying about that allows me to focus on writing and publishing projects...
charles schulz died saturday night...it is my hope that peanuts online (on psychedelic links page) will eventually have an archive that contains all 50 years of the peanuts strips...that would be wonderful!...tom landry, former coach of the dallas cowboys died recently too...he was their coach all through my growing up...a good, kind man...
working on next volume in scriptor press RaiBook series of chapbooks...poetry by Joe Ciccone..hoping to post this book and first two in series here soon...also working on next issue of Cenacle, #39-49, Winter 2000...anyway, boston is rainy and cold on this Valentine's Day 2000...i hope to have a sweety by next V-Day...in the meantime, Art keeps me going :)

today i spent an hour listening to a talk about the HBSP website...the history of its development and design...it was cool and i took mucho notes and was thinking about this site all along... how it can be so much better in content & design both...so today i did little things to improve it...added yahooka, a guide to marijuana on the internet, to psychedelics page...and credited myself on the main page with the poem 'beauty, obscura'...still a long ways to go...but check out the guest book, there are now some peeps who been here and liked what they saw... the near-800 hits this site claims are not all mine! hehehe! anyway...have to get on with other things, but i'm trying with this project, even moreso than in awhile...it is much better than it was in april '98 when i started it, and it bound for much better than now :)

i've added some more content to this site, finally, to the main page, in the form of my poem 'the millennial arist's survival guide'...it lacks its final form because i'm not sure what the HTML tag is for indenting lines...however, the content is there and so good good!
also added Encyclopedia Britannica Online to the main page because its TV ads say that a dollar is donated to charity for every question asked of its search engine...it's a good site, i checked out its entry on LSD and was pleased
ok, tired, tired, holiday from work over, it's late, my rice is ready, good night :)

this morning i found out the answer to the HTML question i had...so 'Millennial Artist's Survival Guide' is done, finally, almost, that is...it's missing a couple of words from one of the stanzas...i also changed the colors of the links on the front page...i'm going to look over the site some more...and possibly add/alter additional parts of it...
10:42 pm newman rd. malden, mass.
finally, finally, 'MASGd' is fully, properly, and completely on its page...figured out all the little bugs and solved them...it's late, but been a good day...i have a feeling this site is gonna be getting more content really soon! :) *peace out*

i've just added ric amante's poetry sequence 'ferry tales' to the front page of this site...these poems are from his scriptor press book 'ferry tales & other poems'...they're poems he wrote during '99 when he was living out west across the water from seattle, taking the ferry every day to get to work...good shit, yo...it took quite awhile messing around with html code to get it right...watching bob dylan dance in a top hat and cane on vh-1...strange world...listen to phish...hell, listen to dylan too...read a book, visit a flower...join a tribe of weeds...i'm so tired i have been asleep for an hour now! *peace out*

The first two parts of Mark Shorette's story "Wherefore" have now been added to site...i'm so hurried right now...going to meet Ric Amante and tonight going to The Kells in Allston, Mass. for a benefit concert for Allston-Brighton Free Radio...ABFR set to launch in a couple of weeks...and it's only a week or so since Radio Free Cambridge was shut down by FCC...well, fight on, dogs, only option...anyway, Shorette's story is good and more of it to come...gotta go! *peace out*

my friend chuck nichols' TOTEM website is now available for public visits...i camped at this project last year at Burning Man '99...it was an incredible experience, the whole thing, but being based at TOTEM gave me something solid to return to...the TOTEM link is on the psychedelic links page here...
movie 'stand by me' is on bravo cable channel right now...great movie doesn't deserve the censored, commercial laden broadcast that snotty, fucked channel is giving it...bravo pretends to high culture but what is censorship but the lowest form of consciousness???
anyway, this month devoted to scriptor press projects other than this one...but today adding TOTEM link was just a pleasure...*peace out*

last night added *mls online* to main page...this is the website edited and published by my friend mark shorette and reflects his several interests...tho i don't see hockey, poetry, or greyhound racing on it yet so perhaps it is still a young'un :)
will be adding more today...hiatus from working on this site over...it's now been existent for two years, by the way...pretty cool, this :)
3:29 p.m.
i've added PSAT link to psychedelic links page...worth investigating for those interested in ways in which consciousness investigations from the 1960s continue today...that's all i'm gonna be able to do today...more anon...*peace out*

today added to psychedelic links page a link called kaleidoscope painter...a really neat online applet which you can use to fingerpaint with your mouse...it's fun, and perhaps in the right state of altered consciousness ALOT of fun...i plan to try it that way sometime...hehe...more to add either later today or soon...

this morning added a rainforest site link to main page...by clicking the radio button there you can make a free donation to help save the world's rainforests...pretty cool...deleted encyclopedia britannica online from main page as i am not sure if they have their charity program anymomre...more later if time :)
